これは実話である。２００６年５月４日の深夜、ＢＢＣのテレビをみていたのだが、突然Ｅｍｅｒｇｅｎｃｙ、Ｅｍｅｒｇｎｃｙの文字が連続して出た。トンガで地震、ツナミに注意である。これが２，３時間続くのだが、わがＮＨＫは沈黙を続ける。完黙状態は朝まで続いた。
ＮＨＫに連絡しようにも番組欄の電話はでない。気象庁の宿直に電話したが、ノレンに腕押し。出るには出たがまるで危機感ゼロだ。連休中とはいえ呆れかえっ た状態だ。さすが、腹に据えかねて、後刻に神奈川の視聴者センターに抗議した。重大だと判断したのか、責任者が出て、その後さすがに原因らしいことを ＮＨＫニュースでやっていたのを記憶している。ツナミは、発生しなかったのは後に判ったことで、ＮＨＫのもっとも重要とみなしているだろう地震情報もいっ たんミステークがあれば、この程度なのだ。ＮＨＫ会長にもぜひこのブログを読んでいただきたいものだ。
